Claiborne County Healthcare Foundation

Claiborne Medical Center meets the needs of thousands of patients and families each year. As the hospital continues to serve our community, you can contribute to our success through the Claiborne County Healthcare Foundation.

We started the Foundation in 2000 to help fulfill the health needs of the Claiborne community. It is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all donations qualify as charitable deductions for tax purposes.

The Foundation has donated funds to purchase items such as laboratory equipment, digital mammography, and a fixed-site MRI. In addition to equipment, they have also purchased new furniture for our rehab wing, as well as new beds and flat-screen televisions for patient rooms. If you are interested, opportunities are always available for donors to make an impact with a gift to a program of their choice.

Golf for Great Healthcare Golf Tournament

August 25, 2023

The Golf for Great Healthcare golf tournament is a popular community event and the Foundation’s largest fundraiser. Past tournaments have helped to provide a fixed site MRI, inpatient dialysis and digital mammography.

We created the Healthcare Foundation to provide a way to make giving easy and effective. Become involved today and join our family of donors in helping us fulfill our mission!

Memorials and Other Contributions

Contributions made in memory, or in honor, of a loved one allow patients, families, and friends to pay tribute to a special person and help others in need at the same time. These gifts are an excellent way to honor hospital staff and physicians who have provided you with outstanding service. Other events that may call for special recognition include birthdays, anniversaries, and graduations. A contribution to the Claiborne County Healthcare Foundation in honor of a special person is a wonderful way to show your care for them.

Families may request that friends make a donation to the hospital or Foundation instead of flowers at the time of a loved one’s death. This request can be added to the obituary notice in local papers and is a truly meaningful way to remember a loved one and ensure the future of high-quality healthcare in Claiborne County.
